Initial Situation

An industrial company with extensive maintenance processes required a central, user-friendly solution to efficiently execute all relevant transactions related to PM object (Plant Maintenance) management. Previously, these processes were distributed across various, partly nested SAP transactions, resulting in high training efforts and long processing times for internal and external service providers. The goal was to create a central entry point that could also be used without direct SAP access.

  • Consolidation of all relevant PM transactions in one central app
  • Enable processing by external service providers without SAP authorizations

  • Additional functions such as copying PM objects or viewing call-off slips

  • Development of a central web app based on SAP Fiori and SAP BTP
  • Implementation of role-based access concepts for internal and external users
  • Integration of functions for viewing and editing PM data without SAP frontend
  • UI optimization for fast data entry and guided process execution
  • Enhancement with additional features such as maintenance plan and equipment copies
  • Rollout to internal maintenance teams and external service partners
